SELECTING THE RIGHT TYPE OF RUBBER
Selecting the right type of rubber can be complicated. The right choice depends largely on where the part will be used, whether it be inside or outside; the level of compression it will be subjected to; whether it needs to be petroleum-resistant; and the elements to which it will be regularly exposed. Some rubber options for the marine industry include EPDM, Silicone, Neoprene and Nitrile. Many of these elastomers are available in white, non-marking options.
