Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) Backing for Rubber

H.S. White offers PSA backing (adhesive tape) on many of our gaskets and sheet rubber products in materials up to 1/8 inch thick.  Often called “peel-and-stick”, our high-performance backing is available in rubber-based or acrylic-based adhesives, depending on the selected application, the substrate on which it will be applied, the intended environment and the degree of adhesion required.  There is no need for solvent, heat or water for activation.  The adhesive bonds to the substrate by simply applying pressure.

Rubber-based adhesives have a high initial tack and stick to the intended substrate immediately upon application, achieving maximum holding power.  This is typically the most economical choice.

Acrylic-based adhesives may take anywhere from 24-72 hours to achieve ultimate adhesion; however, acrylics offer higher resistance and better long-term performance.  They support higher temperatures and are recommended for outdoor use.
